Flanked by the wild North Atlantic Ocean and a landscape of dramatic cliffs, for centuries the Giant`s Causeway has inspired artists.......me too!
If you don`t mind me saying it, this painting is deceptively simple. So many paintings of these famous basalt columns do not "work" because they do not encompass a broad treatment. I don`t think I have painted one rock in isolation. Warm and cool colors throughout the painting help capture the drama and excitement of this special setting.
